Fiscal Court Approves Bid for Lock 5 Road Bridge

Magistrates Johnny Tuck and Stevie Givens

The Butler County Fiscal Court held their second regular scheduled meeting on Monday, October 24th.  With a shortened agenda due to the passing of Fifth District Magistrate Bobby Moore’s father, the court quickly took care of business.  First, they approved a $179, 658.49 bid from Cambry Contracting Inc. for the Lock 5 Road Bridge.  Four bids were submitted and reviewed by State Engineer James Edmonds.  Per Judge David Fields the Cambry Contracting bid was the lowest and met the requirements.
Next, the court approved a $30,000 appropriation for the Butler County Conservation District.
The following litter abatements were approved:
Belmont Christian Academy $600
BCHS Golf Team $611
Community House of Prayer $600
Oak Ridge Christian Academy $603
MCC Mission Team $600
BCHS Softball Team $599
BCMS Softball Team $601
MCC Youth $600
Morgantown Church of Nazarene $585

In their final action, the court approved the treasurer’s quarterly report, bills, and transfers.
