On May 21 at approximately 10:13 am, the Butler County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident on Woodbury Loop Road. Deputy Trey Flener arrived on the scene to find a 2008 Honda Accord in the middle of the road in front of the residence of 5289 Woodbury Loop. The driver, Jennifer M. Johnson (DOB 9/25/85) of 214 E. Morrison Street, Morgantown, had been ejected from the vehicle and came to final rest approximately 48 feet off the left side of the roadway.

 A witness and Johnson's boyfriend, John Taylor, was also on the scene sitting beside Johnson when authorities arrived. Taylor said he was driving north on Woodbury Loop when Johnson, also traveling north, passed him. He stated it appeared Johnson overcorrected, traveled off the roadway's right side, and overturned several times before coming to final rest. Taylor said he did not realize Johnson had been ejected from the vehicle until he started looking for her.  

Johnson was transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green by the Butler County EMS, where she was pronounced deceased.
