Faster Wireless Internet More Widely Available in Butler County

More residents in Butler County, Ky., now have access to 4G LTE, the fastest, most-advanced 4G network, on their Bluegrass Cellular wireless Internet devices.

Bluegrass Cellular has expanded its 4G LTE wireless Internet network to include more areas in and around Morgantown, Ky.

The new site provides faster wireless Internet to the city itself and extends 4G wireless Internet coverage to areas situated between Morgantown and Hadley, Ky., along Highway 231 and the William Natcher Parkway. Coverage is also improved along Highway 1435 southeast of Morgantown, and along Highway 79 southwest of Morgantown.

The 4G LTE wireless Internet network is one of two high-speed networks Bluegrass Cellular is building in Central Kentucky. Bluegrass currently operates two 4G LTE networks: one for wireless-Internet devices, like wireless home routers, and one for mobile devices, like smartphones, tablets and cell phones. While this particular expansion affects Bluegrass Cellular wireless-Internet devices only, the company recently announced it will complete the build-out of its high-speed 4G LTE network for mobile devices by late next year.

“We’re dedicated to bringing the latest and greatest in wireless technology home to Kentucky,” said Barry Nothstine, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Bluegrass Cellular. “This expansion is a great example of that. Because of these new towers, more of our wireless-Internet subscribers will have access to the most-advanced wireless network there is. And that’s something we’re very proud of.”
