Extension Homemakers Support Military Families

Tracy M. Thornton, County Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences

The Homemakers’ program for September is “Extension Homemakers Support Military Families.”  Information for club leaders and other interested persons will be Friday, August 31, 2012, 10 a.m., at the Butler County Extension Office.

Mrs. Terry Laster, with the Kentucky National Guard Military Family Assistant Center, will be guest speaker.  She works out of the National Guard Armory in Murray Kentucky.  Her work includes assistance to all areas of the military.  She also deals with Operation Military Kids and serves to assist military families/children that may be having difficulties, financially and otherwise.

This program is open to all persons and we encourage everyone to attend to learn ways that we can help these families.

For more information, contact the Butler County Extension Office at 113 East G L Smith Street, Morgantown or call 526-3767. Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
