Embry named Class 2A, District 2 Coach of the Year

MORGANTOWN — Butler County head coach Brandon Embry has been named the Class 2A, District 2 Coach of the Year.

Embry guided Butler County to a runner-up finish in Class 2A, District 2 in October. After making an appearance in the Class 2A UK HealthCare Sports Medicine State Football Finals, Butler County exited the 2022 season 8-3.

The Bears hosted an opening round game in the 2022 Class 2A UK HealthCare Sports Medicine State Football Finals.

Under Embry's tutelage, Butler County notched wins over Russellville, Edmonson County, Breckinridge County, Grayson County, McLean County, Todd County Central, Clinton County and Ohio County during the 2022 high school football season.

Butler County managed to outscore opponents 318-162 in the 2022 high school football season.
