The Kentucky Festivals State Pageant was held at Embassy Suites in Lexington on Nov. 18th. Emalyn Pearl Southerland represented the Owensboro Summer Fest pageant. Her parents are Tim and Mandy Southerland of Morgantown.  Her pageant director is Hannah Ward of the Owensboro Summerfest and Hartford Harvest Festival pageant systems.
At the state pageant, Emalyn won KY Ambassador, Wee Miss KY Beauty Supreme 0-2 years old, KY Hospitality and Most Photogenic 18-23 months old. She qualified for the Nationals with three qualifying bids. Emalyn is honored to represent Morgantown and the state of Kentucky at the Amerifest National pageant in July at Pigeon Forge, TN.  Emalyn had an extensive support team for the state pageant. They consisted of friends, family, and businesses from the Butler Co. Community, surrounding KY communities, and other states.  None of this would have been possible without their encouragement, sponsorships, and most of all love.
