Easter morning wreck sends one to hospital

Shortly after 1:00 am Easter morning a one vehicle wreck sent one Morgantown man to the hospital. The wreck occurred near 255 W GL Smith Street in front of King Drug and Home Care.

According to police records, Danny J. McKinney, 18 of Morgantown, was traveling east on W. GL Smith Street when he fell asleep. His '95 Suzuki Sidekick left the roadway and struck the curb and an electric utility pole. McKinney was transported by Butler County EMS to the Medical Center at Bowling Green for the treatment of lacerations to his face and head. His passenger, Amy McKinney, did not seek treatment.

Responding to the scene were Morgantown Police Officer Denny Deweese and Butler County EMS.
