DUI arrest leads to additional charges

Belmont General Baptist Church

Tyler Jenkins, of Bluett Coy Road, Roundhill, Kentucky, was arrested and lodged in the Butler County Jail on Monday night, March 20.  Charges included careless driving, failure to or improper signal, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs .08-first offense.


According to law enforcement officers,  Jenkins admitted to damaging the rear window of a 2007 Toyota Tundra belonging to Gary Embry of Waitress Embry Road, Morgantown, Kentucky, as well as vandalizing the Belmont General Baptist Church on two other occasions. Jenkins also admitted to damaging the Belmont Church bus by breaking seven windows, cutting all four tires, and destroying three mirrors. 
Additional charges include two counts of criminal mischief, second degree, and two counts of criminal mischief, first degree.

Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Alford is working the investigation.
