Drug Task Force confiscates $10,000 worth of crystal meth

The Bowling Green - Warren County Drug Task Force and FBI received information of a potential load of narcotics coming to Bowling Green. As a result of this information ½ pound of “Crystal Methamphetamine” (Mexican Meth) was seized, 5 miles South of Bowling Green on I-65 last night (June 15, 2016) at 7:40PM.

Kentucky State Police CVE and K-9 stopped a rental vehicle driven by Christopher M. Golliday of 73 Paps Drive, Grenada, Mississippi. The aforementioned ½ pound of Mexican meth was located in the vehicle along with a small quantity of marijuana. This meth has a wholesale value of $10,000.

Golliday was charged with:

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st degree (Meth)

Possession of Marijuana

No Operators License

Failure to wear seat belts

He was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.

Second Drug Arrest on the Same Day

Bowling Green - Warren County Drug Task Force detectives completed the second undercover drug and gun buy today from Arron Scott Hypes in the 1200 block of Morgantown Road.

Following the buy he was followed to the 1400 block of Campbell Lane where a felony traffic stop was executed by marked units of Kentucky State Police and Warren County Sheriff’s Office.  Hypes sold an undercover officer 4 grams of meth and a shotgun today.  Hypes is a convicted felon. During the arrests 46 Xanax tablets a Schedule (4) Prescription Drug were recovered from the vehicle occupied by both Hypes and Jeffery Johnson (see below). The arrests occurred at 10:10 AM, today, June 16, 2016 on Campbell Lane.

Arron Scott Hypes of 310 West Kenwood Way, Louisville, KY Age 34 was charged with:

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st degree (Meth)

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance with 1,000 yards of a school

Possession of Firearm by a convicted felon
 

Also arrested:

Jeffery Willis Johnson of 1167 Kentucky St., Bowling Green, KY  Age 46 was charged with:

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st degree (Meth)

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance with 1,000 yards of a school

 

Both were taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
