Drug Arrest in Ohio County

Detectives with Pennyrile Narcotics and the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office conducted a two-month operation.

Over the course of the two-month operation, detectives purchased and/or seized over 23 ounces of methamphetamine, ½ ounces of marijuana, 1 indoor marijuana grow, 1 outdoor marijuana grow, 1 ounce of cocaine, and recovered 1 stolen vehicle. 15 individuals total were charged/indicted as a result of the operation.

The following are statistics based off of the operation:

16 trafficking methamphetamine charges, 9 possession of methamphetamine charges, 1 cultivating marijuana charge, 8 drug paraphernalia charges, 1 trafficking cocaine charge, 1 theft of automobile charge, 1 receiving stolen property charge, 2 possession of marijuana charges, 1 trafficking marijuana charge, 2 promoting contraband charges, 1 Procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means.

The following individuals were charged with the following offenses:

Daniel Carter of Centertown, Ky

-Possession of controlled substance 1st degree, methamphetamine -Drug paraphernalia buy/possess 

-Trafficking controlled substance 1st degree, over 2 grams methamphetamine

-Promoting contraband 1st.

Johnathan Shultz of Centertown, Ky

-Trafficking controlled substance 1st degree, methamphetamine

-Promoting contraband 1st

-Possession of controlled substance 1st, methamphetamine.

Kaela Hillard of Hopkinsville, Ky

-Trafficking controlled substance 2nd offense, > 2 grams methamphetamine.

Warrant served and being held in the Grayson County Jail

Derek Cardwell of Morgantown, Ky

-Theft by unlawful taking: Automobile 

-Receiving stolen property.

Warrant served and being held in the Butler County Jail

Deserae Stewart of Beaver Dam, Ky

-Possession of controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine 

-Drug Paraphernalia.

Brian Mclellan of Radcliff, Ky

-Trafficking 1st Degree, >2grams of methamphetamine.

Warrant served and being held in the Grayson County Jail

Paul Weaver of Owensboro, Ky

-Trafficking 1st degree, >2grams of methamphetamine

-Possession of controlled substance 1st degree.

Gwendalyn Davis of Beaver Dam, Ky

-Possession of controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine

-Drug paraphernalia buy/possess.

Warrant served and being held in the Ohio County Detention Center

Michael Howard of Hartford, Ky

-Possession of controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine

-Drug paraphernalia buy/possess

-Possession of marijuana.

Carrie Youngblood of Cromwell, Ky

-Possession of controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine

-Drug paraphernalia buy/possess

-Possession of marijuana.

David Stevens Sr. of Beaver Dam, Ky

-Trafficking first degree methamphetamine >2grams. (2 counts).

Warrant’s served and being held in the Ohio County Detention Center

Dexter Pitts of Hartford, Ky

-Possession of controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine

-Drug Paraphernalia buy/possess.

Mary Jarboe of Reynolds Station, Ky

-Trafficking controlled substance 1st degree >2 grams of methamphetamine. (2 Counts).

Warrant’s served and being held in the Daviess County Detention Center

Austin Hackney of Centertown, Ky

-Trafficking controlled substance 1st degree >2 grams methamphetamine. (3 Counts).

Warrant’s served and being held in the Ohio County Detention Center

Dustin Fugate of Beaver Dam, Ky

-Procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means

Warrant served and being held in the Ohio County Detention Center

Lyndall Chinn of Cromwell, Ky

-Arrested October 5, 2023 for possession of a controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine

-Possession of drug paraphernalia

The Grand Jury met in Ohio County in September of 2023 and the cases against the above listed persons were presented. The indictment warrants were issued and they were attempted/served on 10-05-2023 to conclude the operation with the assistance of the Kentucky State Police. Several other individuals were presented and indicted that will be served at a later date.
