Drug Arrest on Love Lee Road

Cleatus L. Johnson 50, of 5446 Love Lee Road, was arrested on Friday morning and lodged in the Butler County Jail.  Johnson was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first degree, first offense , no brake lights, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
Butler County Sheriff Chief Deputy Heath West was on patrol in the Love Lee Road area when the 1977 C10 white Chevy truck driven by Johnson was stopped due to no brake lights.  According to Deputy West Johnson was trying to hide something in the dash area.  Johnson granted permission for  a search of his vehicle. Johnson failed the Field Sobriety Test with no tracking in the eyes, very unsteady on feet, and his inability to stand on one leg.
“A bag containing 1.9 grams of white crystals, suspected to be crystal meth, was found behind the ashtray in the dash,” said West.  “We are seeing more crystal meth in the county and this is a major concern.”
Johnson refused a blood and or urine test which results in an automatic six month license suspension.
