Drake's Farm Service Field Day

Jeff Hagan from Waters Agricultural Laboratories

Tuesday morning, August 7, several farmers gathered in the Rochester community for Drake's Farm Service Field Day.
"Thanks to everyone that attended our Agronomic Field Day. We had almost 70 people in attendance, and growers from 8 different counties across western Kentucky," said Denny Drake.
Those in attendance were treated to several speakers and displays from various farm businesses.   Lots of great information was given in plot stops. Variety trials, soybean fertility, and Plant Growth Regulators were the hot topics of discussion. Attendees got a look at Shane Wells' Mockingbird Hill Farm.
Jared McGinnis and Kyle Holmeberg from Pioneer kicked off the day and spoke about seed and yield.

The next speakers were Lauren Lewis and agronomist Todd Ladd, representing Monsanto/DeKalb corn and Asgrow soybeans.
CropLand representative Brett Reece presented their corn and soybean varieties.
Eric Dickerson from Southern States was also in attendance.
Jeff Hagan of Waters Agricultural Laboratories spoke on phosphorous and potassium fertilizer recommendations for high-yielding, profitable soybeans.
Wrapping up Field Day was David Larew.  David is the CPP District Sales Manager at Winfield United(whose parent company is Land O Lakes).

Marc Price from Corteva, formerly DuPont, furnished the food and door prizes were award after the meal.
