Don Thomason To Perform @ Hot Rods Game

South central Kentucky singer Don Thomason will perform the National Anthem at the Bowling Green Hot Rods game Saturday, April 13 at Bowling Green Ballpark.  In addition to Thomason's performance, the Hot Rods game with the West Michigan Whitecaps features Butler County High School Football Night, Autism Awareness Night, and a postgame fireworks display.

This will be the fourth time Thomason has performed the National Anthem at a Hot Rods game.  Thomason has performed the Anthem on many other occasions, including Thunderfest in Bowling Green and several times for Washburn University basketball games in Topeka, Kansas.

"I am always honored to be asked to perform the National Anthem for a Bowling Green Hot Rods game," Thomason said.  "It's a thrill to stand on the diamond of Bowling Green Ballpark and sing the Anthem.  It will make it that much better that the high school football team I once played for will be honored on the same night."

Thomason performs regularly in south central Kentucky and middle Tennessee.  His next public performance will be April 19 at Mellow Mushroom in Bowling Green; his band Don Thomason's Allstars will play April 27 at the American Legion in Leitchfield where, coincidentally, Thomason will sing the National Anthem before the show.
