Don Locke: Thru Bifocals

This and That.

(This title allows me to talk about different things.)

One or two or three malipropisms (malaprops) are words that come close to being correct then somehow go bonkers.

Carporch-carport                 Cam-calm                  Fawssop-faucet

These I believe: I am 86. I am closer to seeing God than I ever have been before. Grace has brought me safe thus far and grace will lead me home. Once in grace, always in grace. I have never been good enough to go to Heaven. Jesus has. He took care of my goodness on the cross when he defeated death and the grave. All I had to do was believe and trust. These are the very same words in the brick-from which our new testament is taken. There is no difference.

I have had a wonderful life...a lovely wife and family. I have been to several rodeos and at least two goat-ropin’s. I once rode a donkey in a donkey ball game I have plowed corn with a double shovel behind a one-line mule. I have flown airplanes in the US Airforce. I have enjoyed a lot of wonderful people...only a few soreheads.

I don’t believe in global warming. Common sense tells me we have only had accurate weather reports for less than 200 years. The Earth has had seasonal weather changes since its been here for 6000 years (Bible years).

I’m not ready to go to Heaven yet, but that’s not up to me. When the time comes, I’ll say “Lord, beam me up.”

Remember, always drink upstream of the herd.

Kindest Regards.
