Don Locke: Lookin Thru Bifocals

There were times on the American Frontier a rider would tell how he dived from his saddle an instant before a bullet or an arrow struck a tree limb close beside his ear.
According to the dictionary the word, intuition, is described as the ability to see or to know things without our conscious reasoning over and above our commonly known five senses.
Probably we’ve all sensed someone looking at us, only to look up and see a person immediately turn his or her head.
We are not just physical.  We have a soul and a spirit.  No doubt this is where this six sense abides.  We are also told that on the frontier, scouts while spying on an Indian should never look directly at him.  He will know. When Bett and I were in the Air Force, one day when I came home from the base she said, “We need to sell our house.  I feel it very strongly.” We sold our house.  Shortly after, we received word that our own air base would be deactivated and would be cleared down. Within six months it was.  A lot of houses went on the market.  Some were a long time selling. Some were let go bad to the mortgage holders.
One night I stopped at a mom and pop grocery on my way home. As I got in the car to leave, something told me not to.  Then I saw two suspicious looking men hanging around outside.  I got out, went back in, and visited awhile.  Mom and Pop were alone.  When I finally left, the men were gone. Mom and Pop to have seen them hanging around.  They thanked me for staying.
One time the Bible prophet, Elijah, was running from God.  God told him:  The Bible says God sent a great, strong, wind which blew away part of the mountain near the cave.  Then there was an earthquake the fire, lots of fire.  This got Elijah’s attention.
Then it goes on to tell us that “God was not in the wind, or earthquake, or the fire. But in “a still small voice” (I Kings: 19-12).  Be still and know.
                        Kindest regards….
