Don Locke; Lookin Thru Bifocals
I suppose most folks have never heard of Stan Jones. Heaven I had bet they have lied and liked his music, the likes of which: Cheyeanne, Ghost riders in the sky; Rawhide, and a string of western movie song titles. Perhaps one of his sacred songs is most recognizable, it is not secret what god can do. Stan Jones’ work by mature, allowed him a lot of time for contemplation and thought. He was an Arizona Forest Ranger with a degree in timber management. The song came about after he attended a Billy Graham crusade service. At the close of the service, he went forward and met the one who put a new song in his heart, The lord Jesus. After this came the song, this ole house…” I’m ready to meet the Saints.”
What a wonderful testimony
Kindest Regards…
