Don Locke: Lookin Thru Bifocals

When George Bush (the elder) lost the presidential election in November, 1992, George’s wife, Barbara, came into a room of long faces and despair, in their White House living quarters. There was the president, the Bush children, and some of the White House staff.

She looked at the sad bunch awhile and bawled in a loud voice of disgust: “it’s over-get over it.” She liberal press, along with the people of the bias ilk, need to do the same thing; it’s over-the people have spoken. The liberal left pundits won’t hear the people. They have heard of course, the phrase of freedom: “by and for the people”, but they because of their elitists arrogant attitude toward the common people- who also have a shot at running our country folks like Harry Truman and Abe Lincoln; they bawl and squall; lay down in a fetal position and suck their thumbs and worse.

Among the liberal elitists, the Up-East Ivy League college presidents and professors are crying fowl the loudest. One Harvard professor even started a petition to oust Donald Trump and install Hillary Clinton as the new president elect.

I don’t think he is ignorant of out U.S. Constitution for obvious reasons, but his arrogance I such that he thinks he is not subject to it, and the Electoral Vote.  One college in Massachusetts has even ordered the U.S. flag on campus, flown at half-staff. This is not surprising-coming out of Massachusetts. And some of our kids protecting, carrying signs saying: “He (Trump) is NOT our president.” Bless their naive little hearts, they don’t have a clue as to what it’s all about. One reporter on Fox News asked a college student sign-carrier if she knew the meaning of the president’s cabinet- “she said, no, I’m afraid I don’t”.

As for the U.S. Constitution concerning the electoral vote, Grover Cleveland tried for a second term, three times. Each time he won the popular vote, but he failed all three times to win the electoral vote. The electoral vote caries the Big Stick.

Kindest regards……..
