Delta Faucet Partners with SKYCTC To Give Butler County Students A Head Start On College

Morgantown, KY – The Morgantown Leadership Team from Delta Faucet Company announced today they will establish a scholarship fund with Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) to provide students from Butler County High School the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school through the Delta Faucet Company Dual Credit Scholarship.  The scholarship is open to students from Butler County High School who have a minimum GPA of 2.5 overall and are interested in earning college credit at SKYCTC.  First preference will be given to those students who have a parent or grandparent currently employed at Delta Faucet Company.  Priority will also be granted for financial need.

Teresa Montgomery, Human Resource Manager for Delta Faucet Company, said, “We believe a partnership between businesses and local schools is critical in educating our community’s future workforce. Dual Credit programs give students a unique opportunity for advanced learning while in high school. We are proud to invest in Butler County High School students by providing a scholarship fund to promote and encourage participation in the Dual Credit program. This educational investment will not only benefit each scholarship recipient, but will also benefit Butler County High School and the community.”
The Delta Faucet Company gift of $6,000 to the SKYCTC Foundation will provide funding for more than thirty students to receive Dual Credit tuition and textbooks at no cost to the student.  Students can take Dual Credit courses at Butler County High School including English 101, 161 and Math 150.  Students can also take classes at the SKYCTC Main Campus in Bowling Green.
“We are thrilled to partner with Delta Faucet Company to impact the lives of Butler County High School students,” said Heather Rogers, SKYCTC Foundation Executive Director.  “By investing in the Dual Credit scholarship, they are giving their students a jump start and helping make college attendance more affordable.”
Applications for the Delta Faucet Company Dual Credit Scholarship will be available at Butler County High School this fall. For additional information contact the SKYCTC Foundation at 270-901-1116.
