Decker, Embry crowned Bearfest King and Queen

C.W. Decker and Madison Embry were crowned Bearfest King and Queen

The 2012 Bearfest festivities were held on Friday, January 20 after the first game of a girl-boy double header against South Warren. C.W. Decker and Madison Embry were crowned Bearfest King and Queen in front of the packed stands. Madison is the daughter of Sheri Anderson of Aberdeen and Richard Embry of Morgantown. C.W. is the son of Bridget Decker of Roundhill.

Honorary King and Queen Collin Tomes and Raven Durbin

Also honored during Bearfest were the Honorary King and Queen Collin Tomes and Raven Durbin. Collin and Raven received a long standing ovation from the crowd when they received their crowns. Raven is the daughter of Ginny Lockhart and Willie Durbin, Collin is the son of Brookie Tomes and the late Shannon Tomes.

 The 2012 Bearfest King and Queen candidates were:

FCCLA: Brittany Barks, daughter Wayne and Tammy Barks of Quality, and Clay Embry, son of Todd and Angie Embry of Morgantown.



SUPA and Renaissance Leadership: Madison Embry, daughter of Sheri Anderson of Aberdeen and Richard Embry of Morgantown and PRIDE and Renaissance Leadership representative Trevor Cardwell, son of Jeff and Gina Kimmel of Morgantown.



Gamer's Club: Kacie Henderson, daughter of Richard and Roxanne Henderson of Oak Ridge, and Jimmy Smith, son of Jennifer Tosi of Morgantown.



HOSA: Katelynn Hunt, daughter of Dana and Jerry Hunt of Morgantown, and Heston Arnold, son of Eddy and Lisa Arnold of Quality.



TSA: Tyler Jenkins, son of Lori Kiper and Kevin Jenkins, both of Morgantown, and FBLA representative Shannen Mosley, daughter of Tonya West of Quality and Allen Mosley of Bowling Green.



FFA: Rachel Givens, daughter of Mark and Ann Givens of Quality, and Tanner Shain, son of David and Dana Shain of Logansport.



Foreign Language: Cherish Nabours, daughter of Sharon Neighbors of Morgantown, and A.G. VanFleet, son of Buddy and Belinda VanFleet of Rochester.

On hand to crown the 2012 King and Queen were 2011 Bearfest King Dillon Clausen and 2010 Queen Chelsea Tutko; CheyAnne Gaskey, 2011 Bearfest Queen, was not able to attend due to her softball commitments at Murray State University.

Thanks for posting the Homecoming photos so quickly. Granny Hocker and I weren't able to attend, so it means a great deal to us to see photos from the event. We are very proud of our Laura Rose Phelps. We always enjoy seeing what the young people of Butler County are doing.
