David Martin Wins The Rochester Chili Cookoff
Saturday night, February 27, there was a chili cook-off held at the Rochester Community Building to benefit the Rochester Fire Department. There were 130 people in attendance. David Martin won Best Chili. I had a bowl and can definitely tell you it was hot! David received a $50 from IGA.

Brittany Bratcher and Kara Saye tied for second place. Greg Baxter won the Yeti Rambler, donated by Drake’s Farm Service. Tommy Bratcher won the Deer Hoist donated by D & G Hunting and Archery.

Magistrate Chad Tyree, Magistrate Stevie Givens, and PVA Suzanne Brosnan were in attendance. Everyone had a great time enjoying different kinds of chili and various desserts. Also, thanks to Amber Smith for putting the chili cookoff together, and to all who cooked and brought chili, desserts, crackers, and drinks. We're hoping this will be an annual thing.
