Cruisin’ For a Cure Provo Style

Saturday, October 14, Provo Rural Development held its annual cruise-in with proceeds of $1,000 benefitting Butler County Cancer Assistance.  Before the car show, there was a parade with approximately 50 entries starting at Monticello Baptist Church and ending at the Provo Community Center.


Awards were given for best in show.  Dustin Wilson won the People’s Choice award for his 1971 Camaro.  Pete Phelps won the best truck for his 1930 Model A Ford.  Tony Wilson took first place in tractors for his 1952 M Farmall.  The rat rod winner was Tim Moore, ’50 Bel Aire.  Monica Franklin won for best float. 


Youngsters also received awards.  Isaac and Camden Wilson, Jessilyn Johnson, Edie Burns, Ethan Spencer, Sophia Burns, Adrian Loy, Katie, Stephen and Tyler Dunn, Destin Wester, Jack Holman, Jace Wilson and Lilian Greathouse. 


The winner of the Go-Pro was Teresa Wilson.  There were several door prizes. The event continues to grow.
