Court appoints Deweese temporary road foreman
Butler County Fiscal Court held a called meeting on Monday, July 20, with all magistrates, Chad Tyree, Stevie Givens, Bobby Moore, David Whittinghill, and Johnny Tuck, in attendance. The meeting was called to order by Judge David Fields. The court approved the following:
- Judge Fields to sign IRS form 720 and issue a check for $78
- Treasurer’s report for the 4th quarter of 2015 (subject to audit)
- Treasurer’s 2014-15 Annual Settlement
- Advertisement of the 2014-15 audit in lieu of full settlement
The court then went into closed session to discuss personnel issues. Upon their return to open session the court voted 4-1 to name Jonathan Deweese as the temporary road foreman after Charles Brown stepped down from the position. Second district magistrate Johnny Tuck was the lone nay vote.
The court also voted to advertise for the Emergency Management Director position. The position will be full time with added responsibilities. They also voted to advertise for relief ferry operators and part-time road crew positions.
