Butler County Fiscal Court met on May 22 at the courthouse.  All magistrates were in attendance.

The court approved the appointment of Shane Wells, Carl Daugherty, and Todd Cohron to the Reapportionment Board.  The group will realign the voting districts to reflect the new Census report.  Once they have completed the task, the court will review the plan.

Due to storm damage, the court accepted a bid from Bluegrass Roofing to replace the roof of the courthouse and health department.  The health department bid is $23,625.24, and the courthouse bid is $45,484.77.

Magistrates accepted the Second District Volunteer Fire Department Treasurer's Report.

After returning from the closed session, magistrates approved the hiring of Kayla Smith for Rochester Ferry operator and moved Optivia Willis from part-time to the full-time custodian of the courthouse.
