Cool Springs Church's Mission Trip

Cool Springs Church recently took a mission trip to Puerto Rico, June 7-15, 2013.  Saturday they arrived at Las Cruses Training and Retreat Center in Cayey, Puerto Rico.  On Sunday they attended Church at Iglesia Cristiana Ciudad Fuerte and then visited the Caguas Botanical Gardens. During the week their mission work included working in homes doing repair work and cleaning for people who are unable to do the work themselves and clearing land behind the Botanical Gardens.  The Cool Springs group included 9 members; Tracy and Austin Burden, Amy and Ashlynne Brooks, Kili Philips, Tina Bilodeau, Kenyon Sutherland, and Chandler and Bruce White.  The entire Lifetree Adventures Mission Team Consisted of 69 members from all over the US.
 
While in Puerto Rico the group had the opportunity to visit several places and on the last day and one of those was the EL Yunque Rain Forest.  Its the only tropical rain forest in the US National Parks System. This rain forest is home to over 200 species of plants and trees, 23 of these are only found in El Yunque.  The waterfall in one of the picures was La Mina Waterfall. 
"We all feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to go on this mission trip. 

"We would like to say thank you to everyone who helped us make this possible.  The people of Puerto Rico were so gracious and thankful for all the help they received," said Tracy Burden.
