Constitution Week Proclamation
In preparation for the commemoration of Constitution Week (September 17-23) several different civic and community organizations met at the County Judge Executive office for the official signing of the proclamation. Signing the proclamation was County Judge Executive Tim Flener, Mayor Billy Phelps, Superintendent of Butler County Public Schools Robert Tuck and representatives from the Butler County Chapter an Green River Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Butler County Public Library and the Three Rivers Chapter of the Kentucky Reading Association.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower in response to a petition by the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1956 declared the week of September 17-23 as a special week each year to honor the occasion.
