ConCon's Comes Home

What began as an unforeseen setback for a beloved Bowling Green restaurant has become a story of resilience, community support, and a return home.

For 16 years, ConCon's Restaurant served customers from its location on Russellville Road in Bowling Green. Known for its comfort food and welcoming atmosphere, the diner built a loyal following among local residents who came as much for the conversation as they did for the food.

After the property housing the restaurant was sold, owner Connie Blair discovered she had missed the deadline to renew her lease. The change in ownership left her with just 30 days to vacate the building, forcing ConCon's to close its doors on Dec. 19, 2025.

The announcement was a shock to longtime customers. Blair’s announcement on social media that the restaurant would be relocating, though a new location had not yet been secured, was met with memories and messages of support, encouraging her not to give up on the business she had spent years building.

Blair began searching for a new home for the restaurant, which led her back to her roots.

In March 2026, ConCon's reopened in Butler County, the community Blair has always considered home. Rebranded as ConCon’s Corner, the restaurant can be found in the former Kuntry Korner Market in Sugar Grove.

The move carried a deeper meaning than simply finding a new building. Blair told WNKY that her late mother had long encouraged her to move back to Butler County. What initially seemed like a difficult ending gradually became an opportunity for a new beginning.

With many new Butler County customers and loyal Warren County customers making the drive to the new location, the reopening has been a huge success.

For many patrons, the appeal of ConCon's goes beyond the menu.

According to customer Katrina Sitz, “ConCon’s is the kind of country diner that feels like home-wonderful service, delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps you coming back!”

What seemed like the end of a successful Bowling Green diner has instead become a homecoming story—one that brought a longtime business owner back to her hometown and gave Butler County a restaurant that many are already proud to call their own.

ConCon's is open Thursday-Sunday. They open at 5 am and close at 5 pm, with the expection of Friday, when they remain open until 7.
