Community hosts National Day of Prayer

Butler County's 4th Annual National Day of Prayer and the Nation's 70th was held recently on the Butler County Courthouse lawn. Event organizer Gina Tynes welcomed everyone and shared this year's theme of Lord, Pour out your Love, Life, and Liberty.


Jim Green led a choral reading from 2 Corinthians 3:17. Butler County Judge-Executive Tim Flener gave the opening prayer followed by Eli Johnson's rendition of Amazing Grace.

--Government- Magistrate Dillon Bryant

--Family- Chad Cardwell, KY Christian Recovery

--Education- Josh Belcher, Butler Co. Board of Education

--Military- James Cartwright, Veteran

--Media - Diane Dyer, Beech Tree News, and WLBQ


In closing, a choral reading was held from 2 Chronicles 7:14

"If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. NKJV
