In a remarkable show of solidarity and compassion, the community has come together to support the Gomez-Francisco family in their time of need following a tragic car accident on Saturday, September 2nd. The devastating accident claimed the lives of two family members and left several others injured, prompting an outpouring of support from local businesses and individuals alike. Numerous businesses have joined hands to offer their support, demonstrating the power of community.

Farm Boy Restaurant played a significant role in the fundraising efforts. They successfully raised a substantial sum of $12,570, all of which will be directed toward aiding the Gomez-Francisco family. Skylar Moore, the owner of Farm Boy Restaurant, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response from the community. 

"I am beyond grateful for all the people in the community and proud to be a part of this small town with all of the love and support," said Moore.  "I want to thank everyone for what WE were able to do for this family in their time of need. I want to wish the family peace and healing through this time and will continue to pray for them."

The Moore-Kent House also contributed to the cause by auctioning desserts, Silver City Sweets offered their support, and My Mother's Daughter Cheesecake conducted an auction of cheesecakes. Diaz Ranchito Restaurant went a step further by selling shirts to raise funds, and many more businesses and individuals made contributions as well. These businesses' dedication to supporting their community members in their hour of need demonstrates the close bonds that exist within the community.

But the efforts didn't end there. The Butler County Middle School Football team continued to rally for the Gomez-Francisco family with a fundraiser held on Saturday, September 23.  This event took place at the Butler County Middle School gym and featured an evening filled with food, live music, and a silent auction that began at 3 p.m. Over $9,000 was raised during this event and will be channeled toward providing further assistance to the family.

The collective efforts of these businesses, along with the BCMS football fundraiser, not only provided vital financial support but also offered a ray of hope and comfort to the Gomez-Francisco family during this incredibly difficult time. As the community came together, they sent a powerful message that they stand with the Gomez-Francisco family, offering financial relief and unwavering support, love, and prayers.
