Charles "Bubby "Price settling in as new EMS Director

Bubby, Cameron, Cainan, Tonia, Colten, Caitlynn and friend Casey Shavers

Effective July 1, Charles "Bubby" Price started his new job as Butler County EMS Director.  This journey began in 1996 when he became a junior volunteer for the Browning Fire Department in Logan County.  Price grew up in Logan County.  After various jobs in this field, he was hired as a dispatcher for Butler County EMS in 2008.  In 2009 Price started going out on the truck as an EMT.  Many people will remember 2009 as the year of the "ice storm."

Emergency Management Services operate 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days per year with certified paramedics, EMTs, and the 911 dispatch office. Their goal is to provide the best care for Butler County citizens and support fire and rescue departments.

Bubby was the Assistant Director for Brian McKinney, whom he "highly respects and is very appreciative of all the knowledge that Brian passed on before he retired."

Because of COVID 19, EMS is aware of the dangers and they wear masks and gloves on every call.  They also provide masks for patients. Hazmat suits are available if needed and the ambulance is cleaned and disinfected after every run.

Bubby and his wife Tonia, who works at the Butler County Public Library, live on their farm off Willis Givens Road in the county's southern part. They are very proud of their four children:  Caitlynn, 24, a vet technician at the Heritage Animal Hospital; Cameron, 22, a four-year Marine Corporal with plans of going to college on the GI Bill and follow in his Dad's footsteps in the Medical Services Industry; Colten, 17, will be a high school senior this fall; Cainan, 11, is adjusting to middle school.

The family attends church at Cool Springs General Baptist Church, where Bubby helps with the media recording. The church presently has in-house services with social distancing.
