Celebrating BCHS Students

Recently, Butler County High School along with local support from Morgantown Bank and Trust and Limestone Bank celebrated seniors who met ACT benchmarks in math and reading/writing or all three.  The high school grilled out for the students, MB&T provided supplies for homemade ice cream and sundaes, and Limestone Bank provided brownies.  Students' pictures are also on display in the Common's Area in recognition of their hard work and achievement.

The following students were recognized for meeting ACT benchmarks and being College Ready: Kobe Annis, Rayna Beller, Eden Boone, Carson Carroll, Macgregor Childers, Trinity Cook, Brandon Cummins, Jessilynn Embry, Mary Beth Embry, Trentin Embry, Kayla Green, Aleace Hall, Bodie Hammer, Nate Henderson, Harley Howard, Isabella Hunt, James Johnson, Lexa Johnson, Nick Johnson, Kyle Koehler, Troy McIntosh, Ben Moore, Conley Moore, Joshua Morris, Stephen Porter, Kaleigh Proctor, David Sanchez, Gabrielle Stark, Wyatt Stratton, Erin Tyree, Leslee Washer, Reagan West and Zackary Wilson.

Supt. Robert Tuck states "Butler County Schools is committed to providing our students with an educational experience that will prepare them for life well beyond their academic years.  Butler County High School’s dual credit program has expanded over the last few years, providing our students and families with flexibility as they map out their educational pathway.  This is a collaborative effort with our high school counselors and the rest of our phenomenal high school staff along with partnerships with Western Kentucky University, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College, Murray State University, Delta, and United Way.  These partnerships have significantly increased these opportunities and experiences for all of our students.  I am very appreciative of the partnerships our district has developed in supporting our students and helping us build a better Butler County Community."

A special thank you to Supt. Robert Tuck for participating each day and celebrating with the students as well as encouraging them to continue to have their focus on their goals and future.  And to Mrs. Donna Annis for working to ensure we have these additional funds through the partnership with Delta and United Way grant writing.
