Career Day at Butler County High School

Butler County High School held its annual Career Day on Friday, April 21, allowing students to learn about a wide range of careers from professionals in various fields. Over 40 presenters from different industries were on hand to discuss their professions with the students.

Students could select two professions and attend informational Q and A sessions on each chosen career.

The list of careers represented at the event was diverse. It included a variety of professions, such as accountant, agriculture, army, art career, athletic trainer, attorney, auto body, banking, broadcasting, chef, computer tech & web design, construction, counselor, dental hygienist, detective, dietetics, early childhood, electrician, EMR, engineer, firefighter, forestry, game warden, industrial maintenance, law enforcement, lineman, Marines, mechanic, meteorologist, music teacher, Navy, National Guard, nursing, performing arts, pet groomer, pet trainer, photography, physical therapist, psychologist, real estate, social worker, sports official, state trooper, surg tech, teacher, truck driver, UAS, veterinarian, welder, and x-ray tech.

Students could ask questions about their chosen professions and better understand what it takes to succeed in those fields. They also had the opportunity to network with professionals in their areas of interest and gain valuable insights into the job market.

The event was a great success, with many students expressing gratitude for learning about different careers and the valuable information they received. The school administration hopes that Career Day will help students make informed decisions about their future and inspire them to pursue their dreams.
