Butler Water Celebrates New Location

(Morgantown, KY) – Butler County Water System, Inc. held an open house and ribbon cutting to celebrate their new location at 1118 South Main Street in Morgantown.  The new office opened June 6, offering the convenience of a drive-thru window as well as handicap accessibility.

 

“Our entire team was excited with these improvements to our service and anxious to share them with Butler Water customers.  The open house showcased the new office yet offered an opportunity for the community to meet Butler Water’s team of professionals that continually provide quality on tap,” stated John Dix, BCWS General Manager. “Butler Water is proud to serve over 10,000 people in Butler and Muhlenberg counties with approximately 900,000 gallons of high quality water each day. “

Dix also recognized several elected officials and dignitaries in attendance: Magistrate Chad Tyree, Judge David Fields, Representative Jim DeCaesare, Senator C.B. Embry Jr., Tim Thomas from Senator Mitch McConnell's office, Representative Suzanne Miles - Congressman Guthrie's office, Joe Liles, former General Manager, Alan Vilines,-former General Manager, and Gary Larimore of Kentucky Rural Water Association. Dix extended a thank you to the Rose Family for all their hard work.

BCWS Board President Weymouth Martin added, "Butler Water appreciates the continued support from our federal, state, and local elected officials in attendance for the official ribbon cutting ceremony with the Butler County Chamber of Commerce.   We are delighted with the new office space offering convenience to Butler Water customers along with handicap access.”
Martin also introduced the current water board: Vice -President David Martin, Secretary/Treasurer Garry Robbins, Don Lindsey, and Danny Farris.
 

The lobby and drive-thru hours remain the same from 7:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on holidays.  The phone number also remains the same at 270-526-4656, during regular business hours, and 270-526-2456 for after hours and emergencies. Butler County Water employees include: Bradley Hatcher, Doug Johnson, Josh Nicewinter, Lisa Hale, and Lauren Henderson.
