Spring has always been known as the season of new beginnings, and Saturday lived up to those expectations.  Butler County had many events going on that morning with the town mural being painted, youth baseball starting, and the arrival of turkey season.  Saturday also marked the start of Butler County Youth Soccer Season.  With over 115 children in 4 different age groups, there were many games to be played Saturday morning.

Although the games were very entertaining, the score was not kept.  When asked about the league, Lisa Lee replied: “The league has really grown.  Our goal is to have a league full of coaches and volunteers that teach the kids the basics of soccer, while also teaching sportsmanship.  No score is kept in our games because all that matters is these kids are out here having fun playing a great game.”

The Youth Soccer League will have games every Thursday and Saturday throughout this month and into May.  Everyone is invited to attend these games.
