On Monday, November 3, District 3 of Kentucky Farm Bureau held its annual Outstanding Farm Bureau Youth and Variety Contests at the Centre on Main building in Leitchfield. Contestants from ten counties, including Butler County, competed in the Outstanding Youth and Variety Contests.

The emcee for this event was Greg Drake II. Mrs. Betty Farris, the District 3 Chair for Farm Bureau Women, announced the winners of each contest.

Butler County residents Colin Coots, Aaron Jacobs, and Luke Jacobs won the Variety Contest with their “Bluegrass medley.” The medley consisted of: “Rabbit in a Log,” “Foggy Mountain Breakdown,” and “Y’all Come.” As winners of this contest, these three young men will be going to the Galt House, on December 5 in Louisville, to participate in Kentucky Farm Bureau Variety Showcase.
