Butler County Sheriff's Department makes second drug raid in less than a week
On February 16, Butler County Sheriff Deputy Talon Gary made a routine traffic stop on Micah Damron. K-9 Deputy Willow hit on the car thus creating a search. Over a half a pound of suspected meth was located in the vehicle. A search warrant was issued for Damron’s residence, located on Ferry St. in Rochester. Deputies Johnathan Barks, Nathan Barks, Joe Alford, and Kyle Simmons assisted Gary in the search. Found at the residence was guns, cash, suspected hydrocodone, suspected fentanyl, suspected meth, and drug paraphernalia.
Damron was lodged in the Butler County Jail and charged with trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (> or = 2 gms methamphetamine), trafficking in controlled substance 1st offense (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives), trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (> or = 10 D.U. drug unspecified), trafficking in marijuana 1st offense (less than 8 oz.), prescription controlled substance not proper container 1st offense, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, and possession of marijuana. “K-9 Willow was instrumental in this drug arrest. It is estimated that she took approximately $18,000 worth of drugs off the street,” said Deputy Talon Gary, Willow’s handler.
