Butler County Republican Presidential Caucus set for March 5

Kentucky will be having a caucus instead of a typical primary this presidential election cycle and a few things will be different. People registered Democrat will not be affected by this caucus.  There will be a regular election in May for the Democratic presidential primary.

The caucus will be held on Saturday, March 5th, at the Morgantown Elementary School cafeteria from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This will be the only location to vote in Butler County. This caucus is only for registered Republicans in the county.  The registration deadline was December 31, 2015.

Starting on January 7th, the absentee ballot application will be available on RPK.org/Caucus for download.  Voters will not be able to directly apply online but they will be able to print the application and mail or fax it to the Republican Party of Kentucky. Voters will also be able to call, email or fax Republican Party of Kentucky to request that an application be sent to them in the mail.

This is a lot of information so if anyone has questions or concerns contact Matthew Embry at (270)-999-6419 or [email protected].

"It’s time to start thinking about electing a leader that will help the great people of Kentucky and the United States," said Embry.
