Butler County NSDAR Celebrates Constitution Week September 17-23

On September 12,  the Butler County Chapter NSDAR will  again have a  proclamation signed by  David Fields, Butler County Judge Executive , Linda Keown, Morgantown Mayor and Scott Howard, Butler County School Superintendent proclaiming September 17 - 23 Constitution Week marking this 227th anniversary of the United States Constitution.
Please join with us Wednesday September 17, in “Bells across America” at 8:00 AM. Ring a bell, honk horns, tell a friend!  Listen during the week for Constitution Minutes on WLBQ presented by the Butler County NSDAR and learn more, about the Constitution, its framers and signers.  Did you know that more than 11,000 amendments have been introduced in Congress and 33 have gone to the states to be ratified, with 27 have been received?   Were you aware there is only one memorial to the Constitution? It is the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington D.C... The inscription reads:
“Constitution Hall “, a memorial to that immortal document, the Constitution of the United states, in which are incorporated the principles of freedom, equality and justice for which our forefathers strove.”

In celebrating Constitution Week September 17-23 in honor of this 227 year old document we are reminding America that the Constitution is a living document that guarantees the freedoms Americans enjoy.

Let’s CELEBRATE AMERICA!
