Butler County loses home match to Ohio County
MORGANTOWN — Butler County fell behind early and couldn't battle back as Ohio County won 3-0 in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday, Aug. 30.
Following the loss, Butler County dropped to 1-9.
Ohio County improved to 9-3 after notching the win.
Third Region rivals, Butler County and Ohio County are non-district foes.
Ohio County started strong, topping Butler County 25-6 in the opening game of the non-district match.
Continuing to control the non-district match, Ohio County beat Butler County 25-8 in the second game.
The Lady Bears showed improvement in the third game but faltered as Ohio County prevailed 25-15.
Butler County and Ohio County aren't slated to meet again in the 2022 high school volleyball season.
The Lady Bears have additional regular season matches scheduled versus McLean County, Franklin-Simpson, Barren County, Whitesville Trinity, Muhlenberg County, Grayson County, Edmonson County, Cloverport and Foundation Christian Academy.
Butler County is scheduled to host McLean County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
