Butler County Fiscal Court Approves Amendments to Fire Dues Ordinance

The Butler County Fiscal Court held a called meeting at Reedyville Rural Development Center.  A delicious meal was served by the club, prior to the meeting.

After a lengthy discussion, the court approved four additions to the Fire Dues Ordinance. The court approved:
 (1) the definition of structures,
(2) exemption of fire dues for taxpayers with tax bills less than $3,
(3) if individuals choose to opt-out of paying fire dues, they will have to  annually,
 (4) opt-out forms will be turned in at the judge's office then sent to the appropriate fire department.
After approving the amendments to the Fire Dues Ordinance the court vote 5-0 to approve the first reading of the ordinance.


In other business, the court approved the following:
Resolution and Agreement for Rural Secondary Roads
Litter Abatement Payments to Woodbury Masonic Lodge, Butler County Shrine Club, and BCMS Boys Basketball Team.
Hiring of Seasonal Road Department Employee Warren Brooks
Transfer of $50,000 from General Fund to Jail Fund
Monthly Treasures Report
Payment of Bills and Transfers
