Butler County Farm Bureau Legislative Appreciation Dinner

Farm Bureau President Shane Wells

Butler County Farm Bureau held their annual Legislative Appreciation Dinner on August 19th at the Dwayne McKinney Family cabin.  President Shane Wells spoke about the importance of agriculture for Butler County. 


"We work hard at Butler County Farm Bureau to promote agriculture policy development.  We also want to promote agriculture education in Butler County," said Wells.
Wells recognized LeeAnn Daugherty, Butler County High School Agriculture teacher, for being named the 2017 Kentucky Farm Bureau Career and Technical Education Teacher of the Year.
"We need more than one agriculture teacher at the high school," added Wells.
Beech Tree News and the Banner were presented certificates of appreciation for excellence in agriculture journalism.


The Farm to Table Menu featured products from ATP Greenhouses, Van Buren Meats, Lake Berry Farms, Yoder's Produce, Maddie & Lydia Wells Farm, Berrylicious Farms, Jackson's Orchard, and Chaney's Dairy Barn.  The meal was catered by the Moore-Kent House.
