Butler County Education Preservation Presents Gospel Evening With Ivan Parker and The Crossmen
Butler County Education Preservation Society is presenting a Gospel Evening on March 30 at 7:00 PM at Morgantown Community Church, 2882 Bowling Green Road, Morgantown, Kentucky featuring Ivan Parker and The Crossmen. All proceeds will go to Butler County Education Preservation Society and their goals of preserving the history of Butler County.
BCEPS is honored to have our very own Crossmen: Scott Flener - tenor, Boyce Flener - lead, Darren Lawrence - baritone, and Mark Mudd-bass introduce Ivan Parker. Scott, Boyce, Darien or Mark are a familiar sight in Butler County along with their families. Not all of you may be as familiar with Ivan Parker.
Ivan Parker came on the gospel music scene in 1982 when he joined the Singing Americans.
Ivan feels one of the greatest ministry opportunities to come his way is being a part of most of the Gaither Homecoming Videos and singing in 70 to 80 Gaither Concerts a year, which average around 15,000 attendees each, in addition to his own solo schedule. In all, his calendar shows an average of 200 performances a year.
“In an industry dominated by quartets and mixed groups, Ivan Parker, as a solo artist, has the clarity and presence on stage to stand alone. His voice echoes with the sound of yesterday's great singers while his style reflects the versatility needed for today"
- Bill Gaither
One person who is admired by the Crossmen and was Ivan Parkers mentor had this to say: ”Over the years I have grown to love Ivan personally and professionally. He is a blessing, my best friend, and my favorite crooner."
- Jake Hess
Tickets sold prior to March 20 for the concert will be $10.00; tickets at the door $15.00; Artist Circle tickets for $25.00 (these will entitle holder to a pre-show audience with Ivan Parker and the Crossmen plus special seating arrangements.) BCEPS will also be selling a block of 20 tickets at $8.00 per ticket to churches, organizations, groups or interested individuals. Please contact numbers below for all ticket requests.
Ivan Parker and the Crossmen share the feeling of having a true calling from God to perform his ministry through music. What a wonderful opportunity to be able to spend and evening with them as they perform and bless our hearts with messages proclaimed in their songs.
Butler County Education Preservation Society’s most important goal after preserving the history of Butler County is to get the community interested and involved in doing so! We want you to join us in a very important endeavor: Preserving the Past to Educate the Future.
Come out March 30 at 7:00 PM for an enjoyable evening of Gospel Music. There will be an upcoming interview on Beech Tree Radio with Ivan Parker.
