Butler County Education Preservation Annual Festival of Trees 5th Year Ready to Open!

Ladies of the Butler County Education Preservation Society have been busy the past two months transforming Cousin Don’s into a winter wonderland to show case BCEPS annual fund raiser The Festival of Trees. We want to first extend our thanks to Don and Joan Baker for letting us transform Cousin Dons and their support.

This is our fifth year and, last year, we had 60 trees! Trees are put-up for your family, business, organization or church. The theme for the trees is only limited by one’s imagination and Society ladies are glad to help out with ideas!

Categories of trees along with the Festive Pines are:
The Gifted Pines are fully decorated trees which are put up by organizations to support their cause. Chances are taken on these and, on the last day of the Festival, a winner will be drawn. The winner will be notified, you need not be present, and take home the fully decorated tree with all monies going to the organization.

Memory Trees in honor of family or loved ones.

The Giving Tree We ask everyone visiting the Festival to please bring a canned item and help us build a tree with all being donated to the Morgantown Mission.

The Butler County Children’s Tree is always a hit. Last year we had over 800 hand prints in shades of green forming the tree. Parents, children, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles search the boughs to find their students hand. This year there will be a tree on each side of the entrance to the Festival.
