Tobacco/Nicotine and Vaping
Common forms of nicotine are cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, vaping tools, bidis, hookahs, and kreteks. These are smoked, chewed, snorted, or vaporized. This event exposes lungs to a variety of chemicals, which include metallic vapors from heated coils in a device. Choosing to use tobacco/nicotine increases the chances for cancer, bronchitis, emphysema, leukemia, pneumonia, as well as heart disease. Nicotine use in teens affects brain development, which directly connects to the ability to learn well. Vaping products, which mix with other chemicals, cause serious lung issues. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.
