Butler County defeats Foundation Christian Academy, 79-38

MORGANTOWN - Returning to the win column, Butler County rolled past visiting Foundation Christian Academy 79-38 in a boys' high school basketball game on Thursday, Feb. 25.

With the win, Butler County improved to 3-5.

Foundation Christian Academy dropped to 0-11 with the loss. 

Butler County shot 58.3 percent (35-of-60) from the field. The Bears were 3-of-14 from 3-point range.

Butler County shot 50 percent (6-of-12) from the free throw line. 

Dominating on the backboards, Butler County outrebounded Foundation Christian Academy 47-15.

Leevi McMillin led Butler County with a game-high double-double, scoring 17 points and pulling down 15 rebounds.

Butler County featured three scorers in double figures. 

Accompanying McMillin in double figures in scoring for the Bears, Brody Hunt netted 15 points, Lawson Rice added 11 points and Isaac Dockery contributed 10 points.

Butler County featured 11 different scorers, including Jagger Henderson (five points), Hayden Hodge (five points), Braden Dockery (four points), Luke Laughing (four points), Jonah Akers (four points), Keagen Grubb (two points) and Kolton Hudson (two points).

Foundation Christian Academy shot 32.6 percent (14-of-43) from the field. The Falcons were 5-of-15 (33.3 percent) from 3-point range.

Foundation Christian Academy finished 5-of-15 from the free throw line. 

James Wilson scored 13 points to lead the Falcons. Accompanying Wilson in double figures for Foundation Christian Academy, Jeremy Stewart netted 11 points.

Rounding out Foundation Christian Academy's individual scoring, Landon Copass posted eight points while William Wilson and Harold Jernigan contributed three points apiece.
