Butler County Cross Country team competed at the SKY Conference Run

The Butler County Cross Country team competed at the SKY Conference Run on Thursday, October 11.

 Case Hooten, 6th grader won 5th place in the Boys Elementary 2000 Meter Run with a time of 7:54 and Marvin Brown, 6th grader earned 16th place with a time of 8:38.

Emma Winchel won the Girls Elementary 2000 Meter Run with a time of 8:07. She was followed by Ann Marie Skaggs in 18th place with a time of 9:49.

The varsity girls were led by 17th place finisher Autumn Jenkins with a 5k time of 23:19.  She was followed by 21st place finisher Delaney Embry, 23:49; 25th place finisher Mattie Smith, 24:26; Briley Webster, 25:42; Michelle Cardwell, 27:09; Samantha Henderson, 28:15 and Lydia Wells, 33:32. 

The varsity boys were led by 24th place finisher, Parker Smith with a time of 18:34.  Other varsity boys times were Conner Glass, 20:32; Bowen Kirby, 22:38: Jacob Camp, 22:52 (a season PR) and Dawson Deel, 26:16 (a season PR). 

BCXC also had a group of runners tackle the Bowling Green 10k Classic this past weekend.  All runners earned age group medals in the 10k run and Coach Jenkins earned a medal in the 5k run.

 The varsity team will compete again on Tuesday at Hancock County and on Saturday at the Bruins XC Rumble in Hardin County.

 
  Middle school and elementary runners will compete in the KTCCCA Meet of Champions in Lexington on Saturday.
