Butler County Chapter NSDAR Festival of Trees
The Butler County Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution proudly announces the return of the annual Festival of Trees. In the past, the Festival of Trees has been held in a local venue where participants displayed their tree for public viewing. As a result of COVID-19 and concerns about keeping our community safe, this year’s Festival of Trees will be using social media to unite our community in celebrating the season. We are excited and hope that you will join us as we present our Festival of Trees: A Visual Feast. Our hope is to continue spreading cheer and goodwill in our community while staying safe.
All proceeds go to further our DAR chapter projects including Veterans activities, school student activities and local scholarships.
•The entry fee is $20.00. The participant (business, church, organization, or family) displays a tree (or seasonal decorations) inside or outside of their place of business, church, organization or home. (Those that may not have a location may use the photo area at the Educational Complex.)
•Each entry will have an introduction slide with the name of the business, organization, or family as well as three to five photos that will be used to create their presentation segment.
•Deadline for entries is Friday, December 4, 2020. Photos should be emailed to Laura Crafton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
•A Festival of Trees: A Virtual Feast will be available for viewing on Monday, December 14, 2020. Each entry is allowed one vote for their favorite. Voting will continue through Thursday, December 17. The winning entry will be announced on Friday, December 18 and will be available for all participants to distribute through social media on Friday, December 18.
•In the event that you are not able to participate this year, any donations would be appreciated and used to promote patriotism and good citizenship in our community and with our children and youth.
