The Butler County Daughters of the American Revolution announce the Good Citizen for 2015.  Matthew Cordel Embry, son of Mark and Kimberlea Embry, senior at Butler County High is our Good Citizen.
Matthew has been active in many school activities his high school years.  Some are the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Beta Club, Science Club and Rocket Team, the Marching and Concert Band, Academic team, Cross Country team, Tennis team, Republican Party of Butler County and Math Club.  Matthew has maintained a 4.0 in his studies.
His community activities outside of school have been activities in his church as teacher and active member of youth; involved in the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center with summer camp, computer assistant and visiting; Relay for Life; and Science Super Saturday.
Some honors he has received are all A’s award; Presidental Service Award from the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center; Cross Country awards; Rocket Team Nationals; Hugh O’Brien Leadership; Republican of the Year Award; Governor’s Scholar; DAR Outstanding American History Student and Morgantown Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Youth Award.
The BCDAR will be honoring Matthew Embry at a Silver Tea on April 23, 2015, Thursday at 7 PM at the Butler County Library.
