Butler County Bassmasters @ Barren River

Daniel Cardwell and Nathan Neighbors took first place honors.

Butler County Bassmasters held their seventh points tournament for the 2017 season at Barren River at the Lonnie White Park in Bowling Green on Saturday, September the 23rd. The fishing was exceptionally tough.  The river is still falling after the rains from hurricane Harvey earlier this month, and it has really affected the fish. 15 boats participated in the tournament with Daniel Cardwell and Nathan Neighbors taking 1st place with 5.90 lbs.,

2nd Bryant Elms and John Alsip 5.01 lbs.,

3rd John Coots and James Renfrow 4.74 lbs.

Big bass of the tournament was a tie with John Coots and James Renfrow and Danny Cardwell and Chris Phelps both weighing in a 2.03 lb largemouth.  The next BCB event will be the 8th and final points tournament of the year at the Rochester Ramp on Pool #3 on Green River, Saturday, October 14th. Tournament starts at 7:00 AM with weigh-in at 3:00 PM. Entry fee will be $40.00/boat. Come on out for a great day of fishing.
BCB would again like to thank all of our members and 2016 sponsors, Cabela’s, Beech Tree News, Jackson Chiropractic, CRT Sports & Monogram, and Interceptor Bait Company, for their commitment to the sport of bass fishing and our community.  For anyone wanting to learn more about BCB or wishing to fish with Butler County Bassmasters for 2017, listed below is their contact information.
