Butler County Bassmasters on the Barren River

 Daniel Cardwell and Nathan Neighbors taking 1st place with 18.00 lbs

Butler County Bassmasters held their second points tournament for the 2017 season at Barren River Lake Saturday April the 29th. The fish are right in the middle of the annual spawn, with fish being caught on pre-spawn, spawn, and post-spawn patterns.  Barren River Lake usually puts up excellent numbers of fish, and it didn’t disappoint again Saturday. The lake conditions were good with 69 fish being brought to the weigh scale for a total weight of 143.35 pounds for the tournament. 23 boats participated in the tournament with Daniel Cardwell and Nathan Neighbors taking 1st place with 18.00 lbs.,

2nd David Colemand and Ryan Coleman 14.53 lbs.,

3rd Danny Cardwell and Chris Phelps 12.43 lbs.,

4th David Hatcher and Eric Hatcher 11.28 lbs.

Big bass of the tournament went to Daniel Cardwell and Nathan Neighbors with a nice 4.51 lb largemouth. 

The next BCB event will be a regular season tournament at Nolin River Lake at the Moutardier Ramp, Saturday May 13th. Tournament starts at 6:30 AM with weigh-in at 2:30 PM. Entry fee will be $40.00/boat. Come on out for a great day of fishing.
