BCB held its second regular season points tournament for the 2016 season at Barren River Lake Saturday April the 16th. The weather cooperated for a change and it was a great day to be on the water. The lake is still about 8 foot below summer pool. The fish are starting to spawn and are still scattered, but we had 47 fish brought to the weigh scale for a total weight of 83.50 pounds for the tournament, with all fish but 2 being released alive back in to Barren River Lake to be caught again. We had 17 boats participate in the tournament with Danny Cardwell and Chris Phelps taking 1st place with 13.35 lbs. and Big Bass 4.29 lbs., 2nd Chris Johnson and Dustin Dockery 10.65 lbs., 3rd Dustin Drew and Brandon Abney 8.91 lbs., 4th Jeremy and Melinda Keown 8.79 lbs. For anyone wanting the complete tournament field results and up to date points you can visit our web-site at butlercountybassmasters.webs.com.  The next BCB event will be a points tournament at Nolin River Lake, Moutardier Ramp on Saturday May the 14th.  Tournament begins at 6:30 AM with weigh-in at 2:30 PM.  Entry fee will be $40.00/boat.  Come on out for a great day of fishing.
